Seaman's box
Wooden seaman's box with a lid. The inside of the lid is decorated with a hand-painted picture of a ship.	Click here for a larger image (large download).
19th century 15cm long x 28cm wide x 15.5cm deep	This box belonged to Jamesie Laurenson, Aithbank, Fetlar, and was possibly used at the Greenland (Davis Straits) whaling by whoever made it.
