Jumper
This unusual jumper with a Fair Isles type pattern was knitted by Joan Gardner (later Coutts) of Houll Fetlar, in 1948. It was knitted as a child's size, but has never been worn by anyone. The diagonal pattern, along with the plain strips, were grafted together to form the overall effect. It won many prizes throughout Shetland at different times, and also won a first prize at the Royal Highland Show at Ingleston, near Edinburgh.
