| Unloading goods from the flitboat at Houbie. Prior to the roll-on roll-off ferries which arrived in the 1970s, the steamer "Earl of Zetland" called several times a week at Brough, and once a fortnight at Houbie. When it called at Houbie, this was known locally as a "Houbie Monday" and a good part of the community came down to the pier to help unload. |
