Wimhurst machine
This miniature Wimhurst-type machine was probably an experimental toy belonging to the first Fetlar-based Sir Arthur Nicolson. The machine generated static electricity, and probably at one time had a series of small silver paper men which "danced" as the electricity passed through them.
