Lady Annie Nicolson (nee Rutherford) married Sir Arthur T.B.R. Nicolson on 14th July 1881, probably in Australia where they had spent much of their lives until then. Sir Arthur inherited the Brough Estate in Fetlar in 1891, and came to Fetlar to live shortly afterwards.
