Soapstone loom or fishing weight with green striations (linear markings). It has had a hole bored through it which has broken, and another hole has been bored below.
Norse 10.5cm long x 4.5cm wide at top and 5cm wide at bottom x 1.5cm deep at top and 2.5cm deep at bottom
The weight was found at Gord, Fetlar, when the owner of the house was digging his garden. It is thought the site is a Norse house, and contains good quality artefacts.
